Program Overview

The basic IOL program consists of 6 modules with assignments. Participants join the IOL community, network with seniors and fellow participants and apply what they learn. We use Linkedin and WeChat for communications and for assignments.


Setting the Stage

Module 1 will help participants develop a Growth Mindset (vs Fixed Mindset) to learn new things every year and practise time management techniques to free up time for upcoming modules and activities.

Your Story

  • Handling Failure

Storytelling is a powerful tool to help participants capture the audience’s attention. Participants will also learn how to use photos to tell stories. Grit is a strong indicator of success, we expect participants to develop grit and positive attitude towards failure as we proceed to next module.

At work, we have to deal with people and the ability to influence is crucial, Participants will learn how to change from a “No” to a “Yes” and how to sell. Even a researcher needs selling skills to secure funding and a CEO needs to sell his vision to his staff.

Participants will learn to be more creative and open-minded through art and design.


  • Presentation Skills
  • Networking Online
  • Networking Face-to-Face

At this stage, participants will consolidate what they have learnt and put together a presentation. Armed with their newly found life skills, they apply them during online and face-to-face networking sessions.
